The harvest of the 2019 vintage began on September 19th.
The 2019 harvest cannot be described as generous… A strong south wind in the spring beat and damaged the bunches still in formation. An episode of cold weather during the passage of the flower caused millerandage.
At the top of the rows, the pickers’ buckets are less full than in previous years…
Nevertheless, the harvest is very qualitative! The bunches are healthy, very ripe, the sugar concentrations are exceptional. The late plots have very quickly caught up and are only a week behind the early parts.
In Cellar the first juices are very dark, there are strong odours of blackcurrant!
